Family Dentistry
We enjoy welcoming friends and neighbors of all ages to Dahle Family Dentistry, from tiny toddler smiles to seasoned senior grins. You can trust your family's care to the dental practice that has served generations of families in the Treasure Valley with exceptional dental care since 1989!
Why We Recommend Routine Dental Exams
Our focus is prevention, which includes teeth cleanings and exams every six months for everyone in your family. At these appointments, your dentist and hygienist review your oral health and check for signs of cavities and gum disease. It's better to treat both conditions when they're small, so they don't damage your oral health.
Early treatment also allows us to use less invasive and costly treatments than if we wait until the problem worsens or causes a toothache. And preventive dental care doesn't have to break the bank—many dental insurances cover all or a portion of semi-annual teeth cleanings and exams. If you have questions about your specific plan, please call us!

Children's Dentistry for Lifelong Healthy Smiles
We follow the American Dental Association's recommendation to see children when their first baby tooth appears but no later than their first birthday. These early appointments are a great introduction to prepare your child for the new experience of going to the dentist.
At our child-friendly dental office, we aim to keep the first few appointments low-key and relaxed. Your little one will meet our amazing dental team, who will treat them with care and kindness and show them they are in a safe place.
We want to help build your child's confidence, visit by visit, and ensure they start their dental health journey with positive, happy experiences.
Baby Teeth Are Important!
It's also important to keep baby teeth in good condition until they come out on their own. These teeth play a critical role in helping your child learn to speak properly and chew solid foods. Baby teeth also hold a place for permanent teeth, so they have space to erupt at the correct angles.
Helping Your Child Build Healthy Oral Habits
Our dental team also reviews tooth brushing with you and your child. Even if they're not old enough to brush their own teeth, getting them interested in the process can help jump-start their passion for a healthy mouth. Dr. Dahle also recommends a dental exam every six months to ensure their baby teeth are healthy and their oral development is on track.
As your child grows, we'll keep track of their progress and provide preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants. Around age seven, we'll evaluate the possible need for orthodontic treatment in the future. We also offer custom mouthguards and highly recommend them for any child who plays sports.
Comprehensive Adult Dentistry
Adults should visit the dentist for exams and cleanings every six months or as recommended by our dental team. At each exam, we check to ensure that your teeth and gums are in excellent condition.
We also review any changes in your oral hygiene, diet, or new medications you're taking, as they can all influence the health of your teeth and gums. With routine dental exams, we stay current with your oral health needs and hopefully catch issues while they're small and easy to treat.

Creating a Positive Experience for Your Child
Our goal with the first few appointments is to put children at ease and help them adjust to the new experience of visiting the dentist. They can get to know our amazing dental team and see us as friendly, caring people who want to help them.

Family Dentistry Technology
Panoramic X-Rays
A panoramic x-ray is digital imaging that allows our dental team to view all of your teeth and surrounding structures, like bones and sinuses, in a single image. Although it doesn't provide enough detail to see cavities, a panoramic x-ray can help us diagnose jaw joint problems (TMJ), advanced gum disease, bone abnormalities, impacted wisdom teeth, and tumors.
It's also interesting to look at a panoramic x-ray and see developing teeth in children, which provides information on how they are forming and anticipate how they may erupt.
Digital X-Rays and Digital Sensors
We use digital x-rays because they are the only way to get a full picture of your dental situation. Using digital x-rays instead of film also reduces your radiation exposure by as much as 80 percent.
Digital x-rays are invaluable because they allow our dentist to diagnose infections and cavities that might not be visible during a routine examination. For your comfort, we use digital sensors that fit easily in your mouth and capture highly detailed x-ray images. Dr. Daniel Dahle then uses the x-rays to determine the safest, most appropriate treatment needed to restore your oral health.
Our patients appreciate that digital x-rays make understanding their oral health needs easier. Seeing is believing, and when you feel informed, you feel empowered to make confident treatment decisions and take control of your oral health.
We store your x-rays safely and securely on our in-house network so our team can easily access them as needed.
Digital Records
We would rather spend time with our amazing patients than sift through mountains of paperwork. All our patient records are digital and stored safely on our secure in-house network.
Digital records help improve our efficiency because our team members can access your dental history at the touch of a button. They can also immediately update your patient information, so your most current details are always available.
Your digital patient record includes your dental and medical history, list of prescription medications, x-rays, intraoral images, and treatment plans.
